Torey Krug's time with the Bruins has seemingly come to an end, but it appears Boston doesn't want to let him go without some sort of return.
According to Rear Admiral of Barstool Sports, the Bruins are looking to trade Krug's rights to a team looking to have exclusive negotiations with the defenseman before free agency opens next month. The Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, Vegas Golden Knights and Detroit Red Wings reportedly are among the suitors.

TSN's Frank Seravalli reported that the Bruins made their final offer to Krug recently, and with no news about his signing, it appears the two sides will part ways.
Frank Seravalli on TSN1260 says Jake DeBrusk will likely be on the next Trade Bait list. #NHLBruins have made a final offer to Torey Krug, take it or leave it. Thinks they’re a team potentially interested in Taylor Hall. If they get him, DeBrusk could be in the mix to move

It was reported earlier in the season that Krug was looking for a contract worth $8 million per season, and with the Bruins needing some more offensive production, the team doesn't seem willing to make Krug the highest-paid player on the team.
The 29-year-old has drawn interest from all around the league, and it's not hard to see why. In 61 regular-season games this year, Krug tallied nine goals and 40 assists. He's scored 40-plus points in six of his seven seasons in the NHL.
With Krug likely headed to a new team, the Bruins will have to rely on Charlie McAvoy, Brandon Carlo, Matt Grzelcyk, Jeremy Lauzon, John Moore and potentially Zdeno Chara on the backend.
