This is a Chelsea predicted lineup for their Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on May 11. The Blues are on a surprisingly good run after exceptional wins over Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham and will be hoping to continue their march up the table with a win here.
Djordje Petrović has been the goalkeeper of choice for the team. Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile, Marc Cucurella, and Alfie Gilchrist have all featured in an injury ravaged backline.
Moisés Caicedo and Conor Gallagher have been playing as the defensive midfield pairing. Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, and Mykhailo Mudryk are operating as the main attacking midfielders while Nicolas Jackson leads the line as the striker.
Mauricio Pochettino has been strict in the use of a 4-2-3-1 setup all season. He has recently made a minor change that sees Cucurella invert from left back which has transformed the team entirely. In the two full matches played with this new setup, they have won with an aggregate scoreline of 7-0.
Goalscoring has not been an issue for the Blues who have netted nine times in their past three fixtures. After a poor run defensively they have now kept two clean sheets in a row and have been in control of recent matches, completely nulling their opposition offensively.
It isn’t Chelsea if there are no injuries. Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, and Wesley Fofana are all expected to miss the rest of the season. Raheem Sterling, Malo Gusto, Axel Disasi, and Lesley Ugochukwu have all been in training but their status is currently up in the air. Ben Chilwell has been missing in action and has not been seen in training yet.
